For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
Having lived a long life I have learned that much of which I thought I knew was in error or limited by ignorance on my part. It seems that lately I find myself murmuring, “I never knew that”. Sometimes I simply recognize that I have changed my perspective and that has altered my thoughts. So many things seem to flip-flop as well: eggs are not good for you . . . eggs are good for you; aspirin is good now its bad and so on. Humans know all about “blank” no wait that is all wrong it is “blank”. Take comfort in knowing:
Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Dominion is responsible and compassionate stewardship not greedy exploitation: Read the Bible
Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
Where are You Going It has been my experience that most people do not like to be questioned. Calling into question what we are all about and what we think we hope to _achieve can be an uncomfortable experience. A few
seem to “have it all together” at least upon superficial examination Audio Sermons too Learn by: _https://www.calvaryleh.org/audio-sermons_ but, if pressed they may be like many of us living a life left to hoped for capricious serendipity maybe, capricious zemblanity or calamity. As Christians our fate is secure in Christ and our life style should be serving GOD as we learn more about GOD and become more like Jesus.
Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need._
Our GOD does not need things not even sacrifices for sin since Jesus paid the price for inequity for all time. So why do we worship, make offerings, confess sin and strive to do good? Yes these please GOD but the processes are for our benefit. By doing these things we are reminded that we are part of GOD’S creation and the definitions of “Good” and “Evil” derived from GOD’S standards – as revealed in The Bible.
But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
GOD will not love us less or love us more based on our actions or omissions. The things we do that GOD enjoys is for our benefit: a better life, blessings, rejecting evil desiring to learn more each day about GOD and the ways of doing things. ALL FOR OUR BENEFIT.
When we accept that we are sinners and that Jesus paid the ultimate price for sin by dying on the cross GOD sees us covered by the righteousness of Jesus. We are Saved.
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and _with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”
SONG:Open the Eyes of My Heart by Michael W. Smith, lyrics in
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
GOD is in control
And still Job was allowed to suffer great loss. We may not understand it all now but one day we will.

If a leader is in charge of a powerful military armed with a great many weapons that can inflict great harm and this leader orders their use it is the tongue that unleashed the harm, just as much as the military and its weapons. Words are powerful. If a spouse says I love you or instead I hate you, the recipient is either uplifted or devastated. If your son or daughter is encouraged or discouraged it most likely came from your words. Likewise teachers and students, bosses and employees . . . etc.
There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him : haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.
Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness. For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body. If we put bits into the mouths of horses so that they obey us, we guide their whole bodies as well. Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire! …

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.Read about Elijah, especially note 1 Kings 19:12 (ESV)

GOD as The Creator is the cause for our existence. The Book of Genesis is a beautiful description of the process: whether you believe it literally, allegorically or metaphorical I will not debate that here. Whatever we are GOD has equipped us with the ability to learn, share knowledge, and understand more about existence and the cosmos collectively. Humans also make use of what is learned in the form of applied science – technology. Unfortunately because we have free will (as did the Fallen Angles) we can and do make bad choices. The Bible teaches we have a selfish and sinful nature that only can be overcome by accepting The Sacrificial Death of Jesus Christ. However,we still must apply determination and acquire Biblical Knowledge in order to live the life as a Christian.
Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.
This seems so evident yet people still deceive themselves so easily. Last Sunday our pastor reminded us of this truth as he expounded on the story of King Saul and David. It reverberated in me because coupled with a decadent culture’s decline was the insistence that people do what is right in their own mind and ignore GOD. The irony? They act so surprised hen they reap the consequences of their actions.
Theft and jail time
Reckless driving; tickets, accidents and higher insurance rates.
Carelessness with hygiene (even sex) a disease or illness.
Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”
When you do what is right while it is not guaranteed, you are more likely to reap a positive reward. Clean living with fairness and adherence to the ways of GOD encourages positive results: health, stable family and confidence in your abilities to make way in this world.

“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom When you accept Christ you also receive The Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit: Fills believers with a new spirit.
When you accept Christ you also receive The Holy Spirit
When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven. …
When you accept Christ you also receive The Holy Spirit
