People celebrate the beginning of a new year and an opportunity to make adjustments in ones self: a habit, weight, procrastination and many more issues we challenge our self to change for the better.

One issue we often postpone? Our spiritual condition and how, and whether, we will face eternity. The Holy Bible has a simple solution:

John 3:16 ESV

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

THIS IS THE ULTIMATE RESTART

2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come

Not Just Happy Holidays From Me But, Merry Christmas.

John 3:16 ESV

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Isaiah 9:6 ESV

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Matthew 1:18-25 ESV

Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: …

Nothing can be added nor taken away.  Still, there are prophets today. No not like Elijah, Moses  or John the Baptist; people that know The Word of GOD well, teach it, explain it and live by its precepts. These are the modern day prophets who remind us about GOD and GOD’s standards for all people.

2 Peter 1:21 ESV

For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

You may be one of GOD’s Prophets

Acts 2:17 ESV

“‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams;   . . .”

Anyone can be transformed to be able to speak GOD’s truth

GOD can use: the least among us; the seemingly unworthy; the poor; the physically feeble.  One more point: All are sinners in GOD’s eyes, so yes, even sinners can speak the truth of GOD.

Could You Be One Who GOD Calls?

2 Timothy 3:16 ESV

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

There are Mysteries in the Church

1 Corinthians 14:1-40 ESV

Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy. For one who speaks in a tongue speaks not to men but to God; for no one understands him, but he utters mysteries in the Spirit. On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation. The one who speaks in a tongue builds up himself, but the one who prophesies builds up the church. Now I want you all to speak in tongues, but even more to prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be built up. …

Finally, a warning . . .

Matthew 7:15 ESV

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

Mr. Smith gave $1,000,000 to a charity that helps victims of catastrophes: His action enjoyed much attention and a chorus of praises from a host of prominent people. Mr Smith also got a nice deduction on his tax return and was placed in a lower tax bracket.

Mrs. Jones hesitated outside s a supermarket right after getting some needed food  . . . she looked at the Salvation Army bucket . . . then she took the 93 cents from her purse and put it all in: it was all she had and except for a thank you and a Merry Christmas from the faux Santa no one noticed.  She gave all she had and only got a good feeling in return.

Mark 12:41-44 ESV

And he sat down opposite the treasury and watched the people putting money into the offering box. Many rich people put in large sums. And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which make a penny. And he called his disciples to him and said to them, “Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.”

How you give and how you help others reveals your heart.

2 Corinthians 9:7 ESV

Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

1 Timothy 6:17-19 ESV

As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.

Christians believe GOD created all

Scientists sometimes point that our planetary system (Earth and its moon) and our Solar system have created a perfect place for life; more significantly, intelligent life.  The mixture of elements, chemical processes, stability in our earth’s axis (among several other benefits including tides), the amount of liquid water and the orbit of our planet within the “Goldilocks” zone  where temperatures are most favorable for life.  Is this a series of remarkable coincidences? Our sovereign GOD – Creator purposely gave us all these benefits and more.

The Bible Explains it all clearly:

Genesis 1:1-31 ESV

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day. …

John 1:1-3 ESV

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Psalm 33:6 ESV

By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host.
