Christianity is a Relationship With GOD

More than a Religion

We refer to Christianity as “a religion” but that is only a classification of convenience because it is a relationship. When humans have a relationship (and even many other creatures) we say it is one of give and take (symbiotic). Of course the relationship with GOD is even beyond that, since we see Jesus as part of the GOD Trinity and he as King. Still, when we study the Bible we quickly discover this relationship aspect as a “Covenant” or contract with GOD. GOD makes promises and we make promises.  How we teach each other about GOD evolves to reflect changes in geopolitical and anthropological differences. The Biblical truths reflect customs, languages and  the different needs of people.  What does not change in this dynamic relationship, is the truths and standards of GOD; nor our position as created beings verses The Creator GOD.

Romans 8:37-39 ESV

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

When we confess our sin we are forgiven then we  become a child of GOD;

GOD’S Spirit Gives Peace

accepting Jesus we are the recipients of the unconditional love of GOD; even our faults cannot change that. GOD did love us even before we accepted Christ but after salvation our eternity is sealed.

1 John 1:9 ESV

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
