We need others and others need us
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 ESV
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

The world is a complex web of connected economies, food supplies, medical expertise and knowledge: we may fool ourselves and deny this but we can not ignore these truths for long, for if we do we will surely discover negative affects.

The Bible as a handbook for societies

The precepts espoused within the Biblical Scripture go beyond spiritual matters and enter into the realm of the interaction of humans in social environments. Some of the truths are: sharing a defense including law and order; sharing a food supply; safeguarding the vulnerable members of society and defining and insuring justice for all.
Romans 15:4 ESV
For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

I have written blog articles of these issues separately but, the Bible as a whole is able to instruct humans living in a society without other helpful sources when all else fails.

Hebrews 10:25 ESV
Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
There are a small number of people who have lived, live and will live in isolation to one degree or another but, this proves nothing about humanity’s need for one another as a whole. Global trade, International Law or disaster assistance after calamity are not achieved by isolated individuals suddenly able to function as participants. Society is constantly practiced, corrected and improved by a conscious effort. The Bible is a marvelous guide for running a society and giving a framework for this.

Christians benefit from The Bible’s practicality . . .
. . . but we gain more than that: we get to know GOD, insure our eternity through Jesus and how to live as Christians in a world froth with challenges.
Hebrews 4:12 ESV
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Church revival and church growth starts with you and, you will make a difference in a troubled world if you do; demonstrate the Love of GOD teach others about Jesus and Salvation.
