Nothing can be added nor taken away.  Still, there are prophets today. No not like Elijah, Moses  or John the Baptist; people that know The Word of GOD well, teach it, explain it and live by its precepts. These are the modern day prophets who remind us about GOD and GOD’s standards for all people.

2 Peter 1:21 ESV

For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

You may be one of GOD’s Prophets

Acts 2:17 ESV

“‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams;   . . .”

There are Mysteries in the Church

1 Corinthians 14:1-40 ESV

Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy. On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation. The one who speaks in a tongue builds up himself, but the one who prophesies builds up the church. Now I want you all to speak in tongues, but even more to prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be built up. …

Finally, a warning . . .

Matthew 7:15 ESV

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
